They got killed tonight, plain and simple. Montreal came out from the start skating their asses off, dictating the physical play and smothering the Flyers offense. I liked Richard's post game quote, something to the effect of "throwing our sticks out on the ice and expecting a win." Certainly what it looked like.
Leighton had no help, and really the score could've been way worse without his play tonight.
Halak saw every shot that came to him, except for the one that ended up behind him. Easy night for him, and I was happy they ended that shut out because he didn't deserve one. Philadelphia has to get back to crashing his crease and getting bodies in front.
They all stunk tonight, but of course Pronger's performance will stick out.
I really didn't have too big of a problem with the officiating tonight. They were letting a lot of stuff go both ways. The only one I didn't like was Lapierre decking Giroux in the back of the head. Other than that, I wouldn't say they had a big impact on the game.
Game four Saturday. Go Flyers.
