Nothing terribly exciting happened before the deadline today. The Hodgson/Kassian deal was pretty surprising.

Columbus GM Scott Howson rejected what is believed a Rangers’ final offer of Dubinsky, 21-year-old defenseman Tim Erixon, 2011 first-rounder J.T. Miller, 2010 second-rounder Christian Thomas and a first-round selection in this June’s Entry Draft for Rick Nash

Sharks made a good trade to strengthen 3rd/4th line, thought they should have traded a goalie and get another dman.

Holy shit, the Leafs finally canned Ron Wilson. About time. I hope, for their sake, that they hire Randy Carlyle.

Since I refreshed the page a minute later, tsn confirmed that they did hire Randy Carlyle.

Ron Wilson seems like such a dickhead. I wouldn't want to play for that guy.

Hopefully they can pull a St. Louis and tear it for the final 20 games or so. That 1-8 slide probably cost them a playoff spot though

Congrats to mark howe..getting his number retired by the flyers this evening. .

Bryz has been incredible last three games, hope he can keep it up tonight...wings are without datsyuk, lidstrom and howard.

I'll admit, I was skeptical about Kubina. He seems to be a real spark for this D.
