I love the Garand action. Super simple and reliable. Never jams. AR's I've fired all had issues with double feeds. To each their own.

I'm not really an ar person either, I have an ak. From what I've heard though your experience is the opposite of many others. My grandfather has an mini 14 though too that he hasn't had any problems with.

Things have been backordered FOREVER.

My friend has a Kimber with those laser grips. I don't think it's the Solo but it's super nice, I'd love to pick one of those up someday.

Hollowpoints with a nighthawk? Fucking amateur.

Hopefully someday I can afford either a nighthawk or wilson combat. Not sure I'd be able to pass up spending money on a custom hi power though if I was dropping that much.

Heres a little of the stuff i have. Very old German Mauser, Thompson (15 rd mag for nj), 1944 M1 Garand, 1941 Walther ppk, and the other pic is my colt 1911 serial number 10,xxx, (made in 1912).

My dad always talks about buying a thompson. Such a cool gun.

I don't really try out a lot of different ammo, mostly because I can't afford to right now though. I'd be interested in how the critical defense tests turn out, that's what I carry in my kel tec. Surprising that the gold dots performed so poorly, seems like a lot of people carry that.

Is the zmax stuff basically the same thing? I'd like to keep a mag full of hollowpoints in my ak but those are the only hps I ever see around in 7.62.
