Just don't stick your head out the window when driving down the highway at high speeds, your lips might bat you in the face and kill you.

my official diagnosis is angioedema. allergies can develop at any time, however a coffee allergy is unlikely because you would have experience a reaction elsewhere (throat swelling, abdominal pain, diarrhea, etc.)

did you put on lipstick, chapstick, lipglass, lipbalm, lip[blank] around the time you had that cup of coffee?

it's the chapstick.

if you list the ingredients I can tell you which one you're now allergic to.

I really doubt its the chapstick, but...
beeswax,camphor,cetyl alcohol,candelille wax,"flavors",isopropyl myristrate,isopropyl palmitate,isopropyl stearate, lanolin, lanoiln oil,menthol,methylparaben, mineral oil,ozokerite,paraffin,petrolatum,polybutene,
propylparaben, red 6 lake,cocoa seed butter,titanium dioxide.

most likely beeswax, but it's also possible the lanolin, the paraffin, and the cocoa butter.

try using vaseline instead of chapstick... if your lips respond by not remaining swollen you know that was the issue. It's really abnormal for swelling to last this long, so I'm convinced it's not the coffee. You said you reapplied chapstick after the initial swelling, so I'm sold.
