To restore all the music that was deleted from LimeWire back into the library? My brother's girlfriend bought him an iPod Nano for his birthday & while he was fucking around with it last night, he some how managed to delete EVERY song I had on LimeWire, so now iTunes can't play anything.

This isn't the first time he's done this either.

Is there a way for me to fix this at all?

I should, but he won't. That would be too simple.

it's all probably still on your harddrive. do a find for any music files.

once you find them, just do a bulk open and open them all at once. they'll re-import themselves back into iTunes. as long as it's all still on your HD.

1. root through your harddrive and see if the music is still there. chances are, it is.
2. select all music files
3. hit "open". if it asks what to open with, say "iTunes".
4. watch as iTunes rebuilds itself.
5. send Laura a check for $50 for fixing your problem.

dan, you knew that was coming from the start. i told you that days before you came in. your only solution is to re-import all your CDs, re-download all the files, etc.

Dan & Dan what is the 'control panel' you speak of? And if I do this, my computer won't blow up, will it?

start, settings, control panel, performance and mainetenence

and there should be a link on the side that says "system restore" you choose past restore point, and follow the directions. it'll take your computer back to that point in time, but you won't lose any documents/files/etc.
