yeah, dude... the fucking breakdown beat for Nerdy... the single kick ride out into that double accent on the snares. fuck you every band since that used it, but that was goddamned fucking awesome. i remember everyone i showed nerdy to who played drums trying to play that.

guitar was ok, i mean it is what it is... also, i don't give a fuck about lyrics in a band that uses near unintelligible screams. he could've been screaming about tonka trucks being fucked by dragons and it would be cool. the tone of album was something unique, at least to me at the time... it was undeniably heavy but not like Cryptopsy, Morbid Angel, Zyklon, Myrskskog etc or any of the death metal i got into later that year.. but it was heavy... it wasn't fast and chaotic, it wasn't full of odd-time progressive signatures, it wasn't anything more than what it is but i'll always head bang like a drunk chimp in MMA trunks when I COULD NEVER SWALLOW YOUR FALSE IDEALS blasts over chugging guitars.

the drums shred is my point i guess. also that im gay.

Jeremy is right. YCBY is a much better record. The only reason I can even listen to this record is for the nostalgia aspect. I feel like I saw them once a month after this came out. Everthing upto and including Tear From The Red has a really dated sound. I think if you played this for a kid that is our age from when this came out, they would hate it.
