okay played a little last night.

first off the graphics and presentation look top notch so that's good.

but the control is sluggish....even more so on this one it seems to me. I know on the last game it took me a little while to get used to so maybe it will again but it seems overally sluggish. Also was there a quick switch button for weapons???? i could not swithc between the gun and shotgun without going into my inventory.

also the gun sounds were really weak and bland to me....especially the shotgun.

The D-pad is used to switch weapons quickly. Whatever's in the top, left, right, and bottom slots in your inventory will be mapped to the d-pad.

But yeah, as great as it looks, it definitely feels a little slow. Turning while running feels a little choppy, and i'd love to be able to shoot while walking.

regardless...will buy.

Yeah, a lot of people are pretty pissed about the controls. Especially since this game is supposed to appeal more to western gamers. Supposedly there are going to be different controls schemes in retail, but this is it for now. I'm used to it from past RE's, so whatever.

i'm used to old RE games....it just feels worse then before to me right now.

i think they need to make another staionary camera game. some of those angles scared the fuck out of you. they also need more surprising jump at your face kind of stuff.

games just arent scary anymore.

Deadspace is one of the best "horror" type games i played in a while.

or how i couldnt finish the second story because i kept thinking Tyrant was gonna fall through the ceiling in front of me. they need that kind of suspense again.

A lot of people will be put off by the co-op mode. Apparently some areas don't open up unless you have two people playing and having to stop and save someone when yoiu are in the middle of a fight can be clunky. The demo graphically looks amazing. I agree the gameplay can be sluggish but I traded in a couple of games I wasn't playing and reserved it anyway. It feels like RE4 other than the co-op part.

Is there a trick to killing that pinhead looking guy with the axe? I keep getting killed.

nope, he dies if you just fuck his day up enough with the shotgun or whatever. its hard tho.

tried co-op. wasn't too crazy about it. plus dude with the chainsaw and the burlap sack over his head fucked us up.

dead space did a great job with suspense shit. game keeps me on my toes.
