this is pretty god damned awful

so in theory, any women of child-bearing age could walk into a pharmacy and be denied almost any prescription drug, not just birth control. a cancer patient could be denied chemotherapy for instance.

Correlation/causation yadda yadda, but this shit doesn't happen in wealthy countries with lower levels of religiosity. Not one. We are socially often on par with repressive poor countries more often than with our so-called peers.
