I don't think having an intro to a song in a certain style makes the entire genre of a band change.

So, Stu uses an effect on his voice, that means he's wearing girl pants and a white belt? I get if you don't like it or it's not heavy enough for you, fine, but it's not fucking emo. And lots of metal bands sing about depression, IE has what, three or four songs about depression out of a six-album catalog?

Fukushima is about nuclear meltdown. Sandstorm is about killing bin Laden. Timeless Winter is about freezing to death. Beginning of the End is about the end of the world. And they have a whole album about how badly cancer fucked over their friends and relatives, where Tim Roth lost his two best friends and his father in the same year. I mean, what, cancer is emo now?

I already said numerous times I love this band, and I understand they're not scenesters. Maybe it is the overkill of effects, I just find them to be a bit emotional sounding.

There's nothing emo about this in any definition of the emo genre from it's early days, to the 90's style, to now a days stupid shit. If this is "emo" Daylight Dies is emo. Dumb statement. I'm a duck.
