The Flames just signed Dennis Wideman to a five year contract worth $5.25 million per season. Way to go Calgary, another wildly overpaid mediocre defenseman signed to a long term contract.

I honestly would rather see him go to a contender and have a legitimate shot at a cup than even one more full season of going absolutely nowhere with the Calgary Flames. If anyone in the league deserves a cup, it's Iggy.

The Flames and the Wild are the two most boring teams in the league to watch.

Jokinen is a UFA, I fucking bet they'll resign him lol.

Zach Parise will announce on Monday where he will play next season, and the choice will reportedly be the New Jersey Devils, Minnesota Wild, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins or Detroit Red Wings, according to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie:

On the NHL Network on Sunday, McKenzie said that a 10-year deal worth $80 million would be a low-end offer, while the Philadelphia Flyers are reportedly offering more than $100 million to Parise.
