Sure, if you like death metal with a guy that sounds like a grandpa telling "spooky" campfire stories. I think their last album is their best.

I think he's a good fit and I think the new record is awesome, however, Resurrection Through Carnage smokes this album.

The new Bloodbath rules as does Gothic. Some of the other later Paradise Lost records not so much.

They just copied Katatonia and Anathema in changing to playing Gothic Rock.

Never really was an Opeth fan. I liked his vocals on Bloodbath-Nightmares Made Flesh and well Opeth-Orchid was a good record.

I love Katatonia-Brave Murder Day but thats really all I like by them. Now My Dying Bride-Turn Loose The Swans is my kind of record.

All in all though I can't wait to see fucking Vallenfyre kill it on this years Decibel Tour, Splinters was one of my favorite albums of 2014.

Akerfeldt sounds like shit on Orchid compared to Watershed. That dudes death metal vocals got to be monstrous.

Never really got onto it, and according to Akerfeldt there is no room for Death Metal in Opeth anymore.
