hey brian, you know anyone i could get a hold of that might donate computers for my course
not generally, but i would probably just try largeish tech companies in the area. the foundation i used to be on the board of would maybe be able to help if it was python-specific, but if it's outside of that im not familiar with anything like that.
i actually looked at doing something like this for an elementary school in my hometown, and even with the computers donated (raspberry pi's), we'd still need to rent a bunch of monitors, keyboards, and mice, and that was sort of a hefty cost.

one thing you may run into is that a company is probably unlikely to hand over money to an individual regardless of however much someone there believes that you're going to do what you say you are. they probably want to structure it as a donation to some tax-exempt group.
of course this isn't always the case, but it probably depends on how big of a company you're going after. if you want a hand with making the grant/sponsorship request, let me know, as i've been on both sides of that table.
