Yea me too. I wanted to play this show cuz we use to be regulars there haha.

Basically the deal is that the firehall wants us to have liability insurance to do shows there. That costs way too much money and then the rental fee for the firehall. It would cost like $750 just to get the place so no one is doing shows there anymore.

another venue gone. i am really thinking of starting up a venue. i am gonna try and talk to some investors about this, we need a permenant thing.

yeah i know it is nearly impossible. however i do know some people that invest in things like this and have invested in some successful places in the last few years. i have been thinking about it and have been approached about it, but i never felt right. now i think it maybe a good time to try and get something going, we need an all ages venue that is owned and operated by people that are at least somewhat aware of teh scene. i have not been to many shows in the last couple years but i have been booking shows and tours for 8 - 10 and i also have been in and around the scene for nearly 15 years. i guess it wouldnt hurt to try?

it would, but i would intend on having as many shows as i could and renting it out for other events. it would take some planning and alot of money. the hardest part about having a permanent all ages venue is not being able to sell alcohol. that is how most clubs make their money. but liquoe lisences are extremely expensive and hard to get. i wouldn't wanna have to do that. i have seen other venues work in other places so i know it is possible it would just take alot of work. it has been a dream of n=mine to open one for along time. i had my own venue once in atlanta and it was great, i would love to have that again
