From Strength to Strength (FSTS) was founded by J. Haaland and Kris as a side project (both being active in the metal band In Vain www.invain.org). Their intention was to start a new band built on the basis of a shared passion for hardcore. With FSTS, Haaland and Kris are going back to their roots and the musical style they started out with from the beginning.

FSTS actually had their first rehearsals back in 2005, but due to lack of time the band went into a hiatus. The band finally entered the studio during Christmas 2010. Added to the lineup as Haaland's younger brother, Henrik, on drums and an old friend of Kris and Haaland, Trond, on bass.

The band are currently putting the finishing touches on an upcoming album to be released 2012.
