Reserve de Marche is a three-piece instrumental rock band from Moscow, Russia. Formed in 2010 by guitarist Alexander Alekseev, who worked with a range of different rock/metal bands for many years, RdM combines a mix of multiple styles, including progressive, post-rock, shoegaze and atmospheric sludge. The band plays emotional mostly heavy instrumental music with evolution of compositions structure and catchy melodies.
the true history of Reserve de Marche started from YouTube video in which Alexander played one of his songs in his home's garage and announced the search for musicians for a new project. Video Drums&Bass Wanted attracted attention not only musicians but also instrumental music lovers, who began to share it actively. Song from the video called Le Garage is a part of RdM's debut album.
Alexander Alekseev began writing music in 2008 after 17 years of playing guitar in Moscow rock bands. Both future members of RdM took part in heavy bands (Dmitry played hard rock, Andrey - death metal). This surely affected the style of the band.
First studio demo consisting of four songs was released in 2011. By this time Reserve de Marche has been actively giving energetic live performances. The performance on the main stage of the largest Russian independent open air "Empty Hills" in summer 2011 became their most famous show.
RdM's debut album, The Last Twenty Tears, was released on 2012 through independent progressive label MALS Records.
