Okay, I'm preeeety sure 3 dog night predates that sonseed clip by more than a couple years and while they may both look silly, comparing the two musically is just fucking ridiculous.

potatoe, patatoe, you posting sonseed as if that's "mainstream Christianity,"not going to argue with you. You'll find wrong in anything you don't like. I can deal with that. You don't like Christianity, leave it at that....

How the hell do you get that I think that is "mainstream christianity"? I think its a funny, stupid, but incredibly catchy and likeable song about jesus. Also.. you misspelled potato... twice. Frankly, I couldn't care less about christianity itself. People are and should be free to practice whatever religion they choose. My only problem with christians and christianity is when they try to enshrine their beliefs in law and force them upon others... which is a rather serious problem in the US today from gays in the military, gay marriage, equal rights, stem cell research, abortion, birth control, and teaching actual science in schools.

Oh I see, you only have a problem with Christians forcing their religion. on that point, we agree. It's dumb that people force God. If it's not their cup of tea, it's not. Our founding fathers thought the same thing. Heck, Jesus did too. One example...As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.” And Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

And yet you oppose same sex marriage.

So, you've changed your mind on that, have you? You now think gay marriage should be legal, correct?
Kadesh @ June 16, 2012 2:12 PM
Wrong, shouldn't be,but if you want to keep fighting it,be my guest. I know what I think is right but i'm not going worry so long that doesn't infringe on my right to love my woman, which is,by the way, the only reason that humanity goes on existing. if you don't want to follow Jesus, what can I do but let you faulter? God does the same for us. He loves us,tries despirately to reach us, but lets us go if we don't want Him,freewill. God shouldn't be forced. He's big enough to wait for us.
crunkmoose @ June 16, 2012 4:13 PM
"Wrong, shouldn't be"So, you don't think gay marriage should be legal, then. Which is because of your relgion.. the only actual argument against gay marriage.
",which is,by the way, the only reason that humanity goes on existing."
There have been gay people around for millenia and they haven't caused the now over-populated human race to die out yet.
And its not that I don't "want" to follow your god or your messiah.. its that I have never seen a single good reason to believe either actually exist.

No,i believe it can be,just not really right, like I believe macdonald's isn't good. It's just bad for you. I'm not going to make law against it. It's generally known that macdonald's is bad for you, but not universally known. people like it or they'd go out of business. Becsuse I think it's wrong, doesn't automatically prove that i'll fight it being allowed.

Given the small number of people who are gay and the already rampant overpopulation of the human species, how the bloody fucking hell do you get that that is even a realistic possibility?
And, no.. something theoretically possible bur realistically so improbable as to be all but impossible is not comparable to very real and currently epidemic medical ills.
