This is 8Ball & MJG's eighth album total and first for Bad Boy South. None of which had any major success. 8Ball and MJG are probably most well known for their appearance on Three Six's "Stay Fly" from a few years back. If Gucci and Waka are the new school of southern hip hop, then 8Ball & MJG are the old school.

I was more stoked on the idea of reviewing this than actually reviewing it. After listening to it, it kind of dawned on me that now I have to write something about it. While Ten Toes Down is not bad by any stretch, its just not very interesting. There isn't a whole lot to it. Although I do give them props on some of the features, because without them, this album would be boring as fuck. T.I., Young Dro, Slim Thug, Bun B all lend verses as well as coke-huffing-whore-fucking-Kat Stacks-outing Soulja Boy.

8Ball & MJG are one of those groups that everyone says they like, but when it comes down to it, there aren't a whole lot of people just bumping their shit. And why would you? There are so many new rappers and mixtapes coming out, why listen to something that is just ok? Like I said, there isn't anything necessarily wrong with this album, its just not that great, sorry.
