Well, it's 2011 and there's a new Limp Bizkit album.
I don't know who wanted it but regardless, it's out and it seems as if no matter what you do or say, Limp Bizkit is always going to be like a wart in the music world. No matter what you try, it'll never go away and be an embarrassment to everyone who knows about it.
I'm bypassing my initial instinct in reviewing this. Usually I'd go on a long winded diatribe about what a pack of jagoffs Fred and the boys are but I'm actually going to focus on the music here because that's what a review is.
Sadly, Limp Bizkit is still the same band as they were the last time you heard them. You'd figure with such a long absence from a scene that died out, they'd manage to conjure up a few new tricks to not sound dated and obsolete. It's the typical stomp around and act a fool shit that they've been responsible for since their inception.
About the only good thing that I can say about this album is that the production is top notch. Everything sounds crystal clear and they actually manage to add a little atmosphere to their platter of turds that dried out in the sun years ago.
All in all, this is an underwhelming release that will probably be forgotten completely within the next few weeks because of how unremarkable it is.
That is until they release another "comeback" album to the masses who have already moved on to the newest trends.
