This is the first time I've ever heard of Peter Pan Speedrock, but it seems they're a legendary group hailing from the Dutch rock n' roll scene. This album is 13 songs of unapologetic, unadulterated, boisterous punk and rock n' roll.

If there's any lyric that sums this album up, it's off of the second track "Whatever Man:" "Whatever man, I just don't give a damn/And you can bet your sweet ass there ain't no master plan." That's more or less the motto that the band live by on this record. You're not going to find much variation, but this band knows what their formula is and they stick to it. Sometimes, there's only one or two riffs for an entire song. The repetitiveness isn't a bad thing and isn't a stranger to this type of music. The riffs aren't anything to write home about, but they're memorable enough where it doesn't get old listening to them.

My favorite track off the album is "Murdertruck." I'd say if there's one song to get a feel for this band, it's this one. It's upbeat, it's heavy, it's groovy, and an infectious snarl to match. My other favorite track was "New Rose," which happens to be a Damned cover, obviously one of their big influences.

Overall, this is a solid punk/rock n' roll record. It's not going to blow anyone away, and the lyrics certainly aren't going to win any literary awards, but that's not what it's about. If you're a fan of down-and-dirty, loud, simplistic punk and rock n' roll, check this record out.
