I am pausing here a moment to reflect. I wonder if there is a genre called Ambient Metal. Ringo Deathstarr has a lot going for them. I enjoy the hint of industrial metal, the blending of ambient sounds and the fact that the singer doesn’t yell and scream. He delivers messages that let you mold them into your own lifestyle. I was quickly reminded of Primitive Radio Gods and The Doors but that’s probably stretching it. In fact, when you listen to this yourself you may have a slap prepared for me but I can’t help it. The mood got me. The zone I am in now is a good one, a refreshing one. I enjoy left field hits like this. I can’t even really pick a favorite because they are all similar. The cover of Just You may stand out but once you play the first song you’ll be hooked.
All in all, Ringo Deathstarr’s EP kind of reminds me of a rainy day, but one of those rainy days that you look forward to. I have no choice but to recommend this to anyone who enjoys a step away from “all the rest” and wants to play in the rain for a while.

If you Google them you can find a couple YouTube videos worth checking out. So go for it!

Glad you enjoyed it.

I would put Ringo Deathstarr into the shoegaze or noise pop genre. I'd highly recommend checking out their full length "Colour Trip". It was one of my top 3 albums of 2011.
