Your Lowest Moment is a two (and occasionally three) piece band out of East Greenville, PA. Six songs are on this self-produced CD, the whole thing clocks in at just over 13 minutes. The CD is also pressed, full color layout and everything. Nice work.

The music is hard to classify. It has elements of deathcore, thrash, grind, and metal core, with just a touch of groove metal. It's raw and heavy. The vocals are distorted, whether by intention or cheap microphone, and I'm actually into them. The songs are youthful with a lot of the riffs being familiar to ones we all wrote in our first band.

What I like about this is that it doesn't sound like they're trying to emulate what the flavor of the day is. The breakdowns on here are reminiscent of old Carcass recordings, and seldom do they venture into chug territory. If the Croisette brothers can pull this band together and get a full lineup, they're going to take it pretty far. I would recommend a killer drummer and a second guitarist, and keep Brian out there shrieking like a guy with his legs caught in a woodchipper.

If I had any complaints at all, it would be production, the fifth track is mastered very low compared to the others (a shame, it's a good song). The strongest song is the opener, Induced Tragedy, which is on their myspace page. I'd definitely give this a listen if you're into young DIY metal bands, or if you just want to get a pulse on where the younger bands are going
