They Came Burning - Where the Wild Things Were

Metalcore with emphasis on METAL. This shit is heavy. TCB is pretty much the second coming of Prayer For Cleansing, and since that band is no longer with us, I welcome this with open arms. Of course, we now need a third coming, because sadly, TCB has moved on as well. Damn shame, as the metalcore genre is really stale and I generally don't like most of it, but this was a diamond in the rough. The guitar harmonies, and the clean guitar work are both excellent. My only gripe with this is how the song titles appear to have been chosen after 9 clicks on the "random emo-core name generator", but hey, you can't win 'em all, right? Regardless, check this out and see what could/would/should have been.

I just wanted to get the buzz stirring by letting everyone know what's in the works for the final 3 They Came Burning shows. They will be Benefit/Reunion shows in Shreveport, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio in December to raise money so TCB can pay off their tour van. Then the band is finally going their separate ways and doing other things.

For these final 3 shows, the band will play all 9 songs from their "Where the Wild Things Were" CD that I released. Three of the songs will feature their old singer (the guy from their 5-song demo CD), Justin Salinas, handling the vocal duties. He will do "A Song For A Rainy Day", "Are Those Tears...", and "...Or Is That Blood". Charlie, the vocalist from the full length CD, will do the rest of the 6 songs.

Please help me spread the word so the band can have maximum attendance for these last few shows. They are in debt and want to go out with a bang! I hope to see kids travelling for this, and I also want people to video-tape these shows for me. They will appear on a counterDVD!

The band and I thank you for your support over the past few years! You made them who they were. Thank you.

Kevin
